HuurwoningHub brings rental listings to people looking for a home, free of charge. Tenants get new listings by email and respond directly to the landlord. Landlords list their property at no cost. We are not an estate agent: we do not act as an intermediary, do not select tenants and are not a party to the tenancy agreement.

For tenants

1. Set up a free rental alert

On the rental alert page, choose your city, maximum rent and property type, and enter your email address. You confirm your sign-up through the link in the email we send you. You do not need an account.

2. Receive matching listings

When a new listing matches your preferences, you get an email, at most one a day. The listings come from our own Facebook rental groups (together around 141,000 members) and from landlords who list their property with us themselves. We approve listings from the groups manually first, and we warn you when we see signs of fraud.

3. Respond directly

For a listing from a Facebook group, the alert takes you to the original post, where you contact the landlord yourself. For a property on our site, use the Respond button: you enter your name, email address and a message, and we forward it to the landlord, who replies to you directly. We do not ask for income details and do not keep your message.

4. Always free

You pay nothing: not for the alert and not to respond. An alert email may contain one offer from a partner, for example about moving or energy. You can switch that off at my alert, where you can also change your preferences or stop your alert. Partners never receive your data.

For landlords

1. List your property for free

Go to list a property, enter the address, rent and features and upload photos. If you want help with the text, AI can suggest a description that you check and edit yourself. To publish, you create a free account.

2. Your property in front of people looking for a home

Your property is shown on the site and may appear in the alert emails of people it matches by city, budget and type. Phone numbers and email addresses in your description are hidden automatically, so you are not flooded with spam.

3. Responses in your inbox

When someone responds, we forward the message with their name and email address to your inbox. You reply directly to them. You decide who to invite for a viewing and who to rent to. Publish your selection criteria in advance and treat every response equally, as the Dutch Good Landlordship Act requires.

4. Let?

Take your listing offline as soon as the property is let. A listing also expires automatically after a limited period; you can extend it as long as the property is available.

What we do not do

We do not rent out properties ourselves and do not act as an intermediary.
We do not screen or select tenants.
We never ask tenants for money. If someone asks for payment on our behalf, please report it.
We do not promise you a home: we make sure you see new listings quickly.
